Great Britain produced a gutsy fightback to shock Greece with a thrilling 73-72 victory in the FIBA EuroBasket 2025 Qualifiers.
Greece had a 17-point cushion at 39-22 shortly before half-time at the Copper Box Arena in London, but the hosts slowly chipped away at their lead.
The turning point for GB came in a 21-3 run of scoring which gave them a 10-point advantage, and although the Greeks battled back the home side hung on.
GB, Greece and Slovakia are all locked on five points in Group F after three matches.
GB's top scorer was Gabriel Olaseni, who bagged 16 points, while Akwasi Yeboah and Quinn Ellis finished with 15 apiece.
"It was a really gritty win for us. I was really proud of the group with some brilliant individual performances," GB coach Marc Steutel told a news conference.
Greece are ranked 13th in the FIBA world rankings while Great Britain are 50th.
The two sides meet again in Pylaia on 24 November.
